It’s (almost) never too early to get kids interested in cooking, and this five-day series has all of the teamwork and skill-building of the average summer camp. Little ones from age 8 to 12 will learn the basics of preparing their own food, including how to handle knives safely, measure out ingredients, perfect a pie crust, and make homemade pastas and sauces. At the end of the week, students will put their skills to the test in a team cooking challenge. Each child will go home with a packet of the week’s recipes and a Sur La Table apron so they can continue practicing at home.
