This tree-lined, under-the-stars venue has wide aisles and ample parking - plus, it’s pretty much the only game in town. Chastain can be frustrating, with its strict 11 p.m. lights-out, tiny video screens, often less-than-rapt audience and frustrating volume limit, but its lineup of classical, R&B, jazz, C&W, pop and even some rock is often first-rate. Admission costs a tiny fraction of a Music Midtown ticket, you can bring your favorite chairs, and it’s BYOB! Why pay $4.50 for lukewarm Bud in wobbly plastic cups when you can have icy bottles of Warsteiner from your own cooler? less...
