Thundercat, Pharoah Sanders, and more line up for 38th annual Atlanta Jazz Festival

The Atlanta Jazz Fest returns to Piedmont Park May 22-24

Ears up, jazz fans, it’s that time again. The 38th annual Atlanta Jazz Festival returns to Piedmont Park for a free, three-day celebration of the great American art form on Fri., May 22 through Sunday, May 24.

From the swinging brass band antics of the Wolfpack to the progressive piano stylings of the Alfredo Rodriquez Trio; from Arturo O’Farrill’s Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra to the Nettwork Trio with Charnett Moffett, Stanley Jordan and Jeff “Tain” Watts; from the Tri-Cities High school Jazz Band to the Pharoah Sanders Quartet featuring Kurt Rosenwinkel, the AJF presents sights and sounds from across the jazz spectrum spread over three stages: Local, International, and the Main stage.
