De La Soul, Rakim, Kool Keith, and more to play A3C 2015

Most of this year’s A3C activities are strategically placed along the Atlanta Streetcar route, which will be this year’s preferred means of navigating the fest.

The time has come once again: The annual A3C hip-hop festival and conference is set to return Oct. 7-11, promising five full days of music, speakers, and industry talk.

The 11th annual A3C will take over the Edgewood Ave. corridor — from Georgia State University to Krog Street — along with select East Atlanta and Downtown venues. De La Soul, Rakim, Cam’ron, Dame Dash, Just Blaze, Curren$y & Jet Life, Jean Grae, Cyhi the Prynce, Pharoahe Monch, Soulection Executive Team, and Kool Keith are first among this year’s 1,000+ DJs and live acts to be unveiled. More artists and speakers will be announced in August and September.

This year, A3C’s conference center has moved to the Loudermilk Center at 40 Courtland Street N.E. More than 250 speakers are lined up for a program that includes demos, workshops, panel discussions, and more.

Also, this year’s host hotel is the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel Downtown. Most of this year’s A3C activities are strategically placed along the Atlanta Streetcar route, which will be this year’s preferred means of navigating the fest. “We’re planning things out now, but we want to put DJs on the streetcars, and make it a part of this year’s festival experience,” says A3C director and partner Mike Walbert.

Stay tuned for more announcement over the next few months. In the meantime, discount passes are on sale now at www.a3cfestival.com.
