‘Face it,’ Curtis Williams is Atlanta’s next artist to blow up

Williams’ delivery is cocky yet charming, and even when he’s in your face he flaunts a high-spirited smile.

Curtis Williams, leading member of Atlanta rap collective Two 9, premiered his latest video on Rolling Stone this week. “Face It” is one of Williams’ stand out tracks off this summer’s Half Forgotten Daydreams, though the song was originally released back in November of 2012.

Williams confidently rides the smooth beat, stacking his lyrics on top of the instrumental, mindfully showing once again how versatile he is as an emcee. Throughout his body of work, some of which he produces himself, Williams moves back and fourth between styles and genres. Here, his delivery is cocky yet charming, and even when he’s in your face he flaunts a high-spirited smile.
