?In this On Deck MTV2 video, Little Rock MC SL Jones chats about his journey as a lyricist. Jones was taken under the wing of Atlanta rap vet Killer Mike, and is making his way to success after his tough gang background in his hometown. He tells Sucker Free about his love for rap. “It was a passion,” Jones said. SL wants to make a mark and is quickly becoming more and more relevant to hip hop. As successful as SL Jones is, he’s still not completely satisfied, because to him there’s more work to do. There aren’t any mediocre dreams for this rap protégée. “I want to be at the top,” Jones said.
