Indie rock revival: Versus and Superchunk at it again

Both bands to release new material, tour

?
Listen up, ya slack motherfuckers! News arrived yesterday from the folks at Merge that will be of the utmost significance for many white people in their mid-thirties.

?
First, Chapel Hill, N.C. indie rock statesmen Superchunk are gearing up for their first album since 2001’s Here’s To Shutting Up! It will be called Majesty Shredding (awesome), it will drop sometime in the fall (sweet), and the band has announced a handful of summer and fall tour dates in support of the record (totally bitchin’!). No Atlanta date has been scheduled as yet, but the band will play Carrboro, N.C.’s Cat’s Cradle this Friday, May 21. It’s only $14! Road trip!

But wait! There’s more.
