Back in the ’70s, when Clarence Reid wasn’t making albums and writing disco hits for Betty Wright, KC & the Sunshine Band, and Gwen McCrae, he was developing his Blowfly persona with hilarious parodies like “Shitting on the Dock of the Bay.” Today, Blowfly is acknowledged as the original nasty rapper (get disgusted Fri., Jan. 13, at Drunken Unicorn).
