Booking shake-up. According to Cole Skinner of Radiogram Booking, agent Gail Thrower has quit the company and will no longer book bands at the Star Bar. Skinner and Radiogram will continue to book the Echo Lounge, but in Thrower’s place, Heather Ratliff will step in to book the Star Bar. She can be contacted at 404-378-2433.

New Blood. Athens’ Bloodkin will be recording a live album at Smith’s Olde Bar on Sept. 1. It’s set to be released on Phoenix Records in the fall.

Another Kodac moment. The irrepressible Kodac Harrison hosts more in his series of “potluck performance of poetry and song” dubbed Kodac’s Blue Plate Special. It happens the last Tuesday of every month, 9 p.m. at the Gravity Pub in East Atlanta; the next one is Aug. 29. Harrison promises special poetic and musical guests, and there’s no cover.
