In the OCT. 8 installment, the musical concierge will be California’s DJ DAN, who does needle damage zipping between hard-hitting house tracks at funky techno intensity. Dan’s sets are eruptive, all filtered 4/4, thundering basslines and ramping breaks delivered with euphoric disco thrust. By bringing DJs/producers such as Dan, and in the future, Christopher Lawrence, among others, Surface is showing an ability to draw talent that’s both underground and upper crust. $15.
