Known as the “Old Montrey’s,” this adult entertainment hole-in-the-wall never fails to conjure scoffs and giggles from its west side patrons. As “ballers on a budget,” my homeboys and I dipped into this affordable spot for a little birthday celebration. Conclusively, we found in a strip club that you get what you pay for:

1) “Can’t Stop No Player” - Da Organization: Definitely an A-town classic. If you don’t know the lyrics, then you aren’t from Atlanta.

2) “Whisper” - Ying Yang Twins: Practically the only song played that was released after the ’90s.

3) “Lovers and Friends” - Michael Sterling: Lil John and Usher’s remix is a strip club favorite. Now we love a ballad, but at 2 a.m., this is as good as a lullaby.

4) “The Lady in My Life” - Michael Jackson: Anything, at the moment, by Michael Jackson seems a little too taboo, even for a strip club. This barely identifiable ballad was honored with the birthday boy begging to leave.

5) “Dead Air” - Night Shift DJ: This single has not formally been released. However, the DJ played this single after every track. We guessed that it was his way of giving customers the opportunity to think about what the hell we were doing there in the first place. That left my normally easy-to-please entourage with the famous slogan, “Kill the DJ!”??
