Emory to displaylynching photos

Emory University has decided — finally — to host an exhibit of postcards depicting lynchings, on loan from an Atlanta collector.
University President William M. Chace announced his decision March 6, following nearly a year of panels and studies.
The postcards, published in a book called Without Sanctuary, show bodies, mostly of black men, hanging over mostly-white crowds of onlookers. They date from the 1870s to the 1940s.
Dates and venue location haven’t been announced yet.
