There’s been much discussion on the topic of “bizarre shapes” lately at the state Capitol, as Republican lawmakers push for congressional reapportionment. The legislators claim their primary goal is not to maximize GOP voting strength, as some have suggested, but to rid the state of districts with “bizarre shapes” that confuse voters.
The problem is, lawmakers are having a hard time settling on what exactly a “bizarre shape” is.
