What’s the best and worst album of the year?

??
Melissa: Mudvayne’s Lost and Found. It was awesome. It’s heavy-metal rock mixed into alternative. They sing about a lot of different things but mostly it’s about being depressed and down on yourself, but coming out of it. The worst is System of a Down’s Hypnotize. Their voices are awful. You can hardly hear or understand the words. I’m really pissed off that somebody like that could get famous.

??
Darius: Young Jeezy’s Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101. He’s a new type of rapper. He’s straight from the street. He tells it like it is. Worst is Mike Jones. His beats are not good, his lyrics are not good. You got to have one or the other. He just says his name over and over again — “Who’s Mike Jones, who’s Mike Jones?” His album is Who Is Mike Jones? That’s all he says. To me, Mike Jones is a rapper from Texas who never should have made it.

??
Adam: The new Wolf Parade album, Apologies to the Queen Mary. They have a way with synths. The two vocalists singing together create a sound that’s unlike any other. Years from now, you’re going to look back and say, “Wow, that changed things.” The new Green Day album, Bullet in a Bible, is awful. They sound washed up. They’re kind of invincible now so they can put out a crappy album and people will still go and say, “OK, it’s still Green Day.”
