The Blotter: No snuggle, no peace

At an Atlantic Station condominium, a 35-year-old man said he was asleep when his girlfriend grabbed his hands and forced him to cuddle with her. The man asked his girlfriend to stop. “That’s when she got on top of me and wouldn’t get off,” the man recalled. Eventually, the man squirmed out of his girlfriend’s embrace and, according to the police report, that’s when she grabbed his pants and hurled them across the room.

The man collected his belongings and locked himself inside the bathroom. The girlfriend started banging on the bathroom door. After a few minutes, the boyfriend opened the door and walked out of the bathroom, but his girlfriend allegedly refused to let him leave the bedroom. They struggled as the man tried to leave, and the girlfriend ripped his shirt and tore his pants “During that time, he was shoved onto the concrete floor, scraping his left elbow,” a cop noted. Finally, the boyfriend escaped and raced to his car in the parking garage. The girlfriend followed close behind. The boyfriend made it to his car and locked himself inside. For a while, the girlfriend knocked and banged on his car. Then she appeared to give up and leave the parking garage.

While sitting in his car, the boyfriend realized he’d dropped his cellphone. Cautiously, he stepped out of the car, looked around, and located his cellphone. BOOM! Suddenly, the girlfriend lunged out of nowhere. They tussled over his cellphone. The man claimed his girlfriend “bit his wrist so he would let go of the phone,” a cop noted. “There were two visible bite marks on [the man’s] arm.”

Finally, the man wriggled away with his phone and called 911. Cops took the 26-year-old girlfriend to jail on battery and simple assault charges.

Summer lovin’

West of Downtown, an officer was on foot, inspecting vacant houses where people were possibly using electricity illegally. “I observed a white pickup truck pull up and park behind a vacant green building,” the cop noted. “After a few moments with no one exiting the vehicle, I decided to approach the vehicle with caution to see if the driver needed some type of assistance.”

“As I walked up, I observed a man having intercourse with a woman in the missionary position in the front seat,” the cop noted. The cop knocked on a truck window to get the horny couple’s attention. They stopped having sex and began to adjust their clothes.

Here’s the horny couple’s explanation: Earlier, the woman was on her way to buy food when the man — “supposedly an acquaintance for some time” — drove by. He stopped when he recognized the woman and they chatted for a while. “During the initial conversation, they both agreed to have sex but couldn’t go to his place because he is married with children, plus he was on his lunch break,” the cop noted. “The woman did not have a home nearby where she can bring him, so they decided to have sex in a vacant lot.”

The cop suspected the woman might be a hooker, but neither party admitted to any money exchange. The cop decided not to take the couple to jail and instead gave them tickets for public indecency and notices on when to appear in court.

Too hot for pants

In Downtown, an officer spotted “a half-naked woman carrying a belt, walking down the sidewalk near Grady Hospital. She was wearing no pants and when I called for her to stop, she put her right arm out and extended her middle finger.”

The cop walked toward the woman. “When I caught up to her, I identified myself as a police officer and told her to stop and sit down so we could figure out what was going on.” According to the police report, the woman replied, “I don’t have to listen to the fuck you say.”

The cop noted, “I sat my water bottle down and asked her to stop and put her hands behind her back.” Witnesses said the woman picked up a rock and hurled it at the cop. “The rock never came close to me even for me to be aware of it,” the cop recalled. “As I tried to put her hands behind her back, she turned and swung at me with the belt she was carrying in her hand, buckle end first. As I saw the belt come past my face, I reached down to grab my Taser with my left hand. She said, ‘What are you going to do?’ as the belt came to rest on her right side and she made a bucking motion.”

The cop fired his Taser, striking the woman’s chest. She was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction.

Holy blow

In South Atlanta, a 28-year-old woman sat down with her backpack near a church. Witnesses say the woman opened up her backpack and started hurling bricks through the church windows. “She sat on the steps of the church, while I drove toward her,” a cop recalled. “She stated to me that it was good that I was there, because I could now take her to jail.”

The cop noted, “She would start to cry and then it would transition to laughter.” The cop took the woman to a hospital for further evaluation.
