Cant fault Ms. Champion: How can you fault someone who has toiled for so many years and who now has an opportunity to take her concept to the next level. Sure, it will inevitable lose some of the hominess of the original location but things change, businesses grow, evolve. It’s Ms. Champion’s job now to ensure that the Candler Park “feel” translates to other oocations. What is interesting is Ms. Champion said that the franchising of her business gives her the opportunity to do more for her employees while cutting material costs. What the heck is wrong with that?

What’s not to love?: Their biscuits are big, their sausage gravy is the best I’ve ever had (I can’t understand why they only serve it on weekends, though) and their staff is very friendly and accomodating. The only drawback is the parking at the Candler Park store. Other than that, what’s not to love about the Flying Biscuit Cafe? It’s my favorite restraunt and the first place I take out of town visitors, family and friends.

The worst biscuits ever: How did this place get so popular? The biscuits are a travesty. You can get better biscuits from a gas station, folks.

Charm Flew Long Ago: The last good meal I had there was in 1999 in Candler Park. Now it caters to the “tourist” crowd. The vibe and clientele changed a long time ago. Now the change has been formally declared.
