Netherspawn’s demonic digs in Norcross

Netherspawn, a frightful demon from the other side, recently decided to take up residence in the otherwise human dimension of Norcross. He lives and works in Netherworld Haunted House along with the other creatures of the evil dimension, all constantly devising plots for world takeover.

??
Conveniently, Netherworld came fully furnished, with its interior evoking a charming combination of vampire-chic and classic goth-country styles. The thrifty fiends have also made arrangements to eliminate high electricity bills by opting to live in darkness.

??
Tape recorder, camera, and fear in hand, Creative Loafing sat down with Netherspawn to find out the real story about his new digs that bridge dimensions.

??
Do you enjoy living in Netherworld?

??
It’s OK. I’ve got a nice pad over by the mud flats. Netherworld is fine, but Earth is much nicer. That’s why I’m looking to upgrade my permanent residence. I’m going to come here and take this world from you mammals. If you’re not careful, that is.

??
What other monsters dwell in your Dark Dimension?

??
Every creature is here and I have dominion over them all. Vampires, werewolves, hideous things of all shapes and sizes.

??
Do you get along with your neighbors, the other monsters in Netherworld?

??
Generally, they obey me, otherwise I destroy them utterly. So I suppose you would say yes. But I obey the really big ones; I’m actually more like a midlevel administrator, if you must know.

??
Since you can raise the dead, who would you most like to have over for dinner parties?

??
It really depends on who’s the most tasty at that given time.

??
So you reanimate the dead in order to eat them?

??
No. Sometimes I use them for grunt labor. They’re not very good for intelligent things. They can’t really stalk or plot much. They’re kind of just the workers of the affair.

??
What other accommodations are offered at Netherworld?

??
We have stinking, bubbling tar pits, fetid swamps, ancient burial grounds, tombs of evil, you know, ancient ruins.

??
Do you do any work in the community?

??
Well, I’m always eager to create new creatures. I’m working with all the little egg-layers to create more monsters. The more monsters, the better. It helps in my ultimate plan to conquer all dimensions.

??
How has Norcross accepted your residency here?

??
It was rough at first. The local merchants in the mall didn’t understand. Eventually, they came to accept the fact that there’s room for everybody here in Norcross, Ga.
