In addition to new seasons of “The Walking Dead” and “The Vampire Diaries,” here’s a glimpse at some grisly, locally filmed features and their taglines soon to haunt your local cineplex, or at least the film festival circuit.

ALL HALLOW’S EVIL: LORD OF THE HARVEST (October 2012)

“A group of high school kids must save their town from an ancient evil on Halloween night.” Ron McLellan wrote and directed this flick that features a rogue’s gallery of unsightly monsters.

ACE THE ZOMBIE (To be distributed by Circus Road Films)

“Back from the dead and hungry as hell!” Produced and directed by The DeVille, this undead comedy involves a drug called Zom-Calm that renders ravenous zombies docile - or does it?

THE COLLECTION (Nov. 30, 2012)

In this sequel to the Saw imitator The Collector, a thief and a team of mercenaries infiltrate a killer’s booby-trapped hideout to rescue a kidnapped heiress. Directed by Marcus Dunstan.

SCARY MOVIE 5 (April 19, 2013)

Hollywood came to Atlanta to re-animate the horror spoof franchise six years after the last Scary Movie. Directed by Malcolm D. Lee, the film reportedly parodies the likes of Paranormal Activity, Black Swan, and 127 Hours, and stars Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan.

CARMILLA (Film festival circuit, summer 2013)

A modernized version of Sheridan Le Fanu’s gothic vampire story, Carmilla involves two young women who develop a macabre relationship, and a father who resorts to extreme measures to separate them. Bret Wood writes and directs another disturbing take on classic literature.

THE LEGEND OF SEVEN TOE MAGGIE (Summer-Fall 2013)

A team of paranormal investigators examines reports of a Georgia urban legend come to life. Directed by Joseph Lavender.

THE PROXY (Fall 2013)
