News - Humane society fundraiser
The Atlanta Humane Society will hold its annual pet parade fundraiser Sat., April 16, in Candler Park. Pet owners have the opportunity to gather donation pledges in advance in exchange for walking the parade path. In addition to the parade, there will be on-site pet microchipping, a pet/owner look-alike contest, dog trick contests, and live music. Proceeds go toward the Humane Society, which works to prevent neglect, abuse, cruelty and exploitation of animals. Registration is from 8-9:15 a.m., and the parade starts at 9:30.
