Candler Park (Wine?)Market
Candler Park Supermarket, the neighborhood grocery affectionately known as Mr. Lee’s, shelters a surprisingly extensive wine selection. This month, the market teams up with some outstanding restaurants for a series of wine dinners. The first dinner (at Sotto Sotto) is booked solid, but space is still available for the following: Tiburon Grille on Oct. 16 with French Burgundy Wines out of This World; Harvest on Oct. 18 featuring California Wines to Die For; and the Flying Biscuit Cafe (Candler Park) on Oct. 22 featuring Esoteric California Wines. Dinners include a five-course meal with a wine paired to each course. $65 per person. For more info or to make a reservation, contact James Lee at Candler Park Supermarket, 404-373-9787.

Putting the vin in Vinings Inn
Savor the flavor at the charming Vinings Inn, where every Monday is flight night. Enjoy three wines for $15 with food. To start, allow me to recommend the curly spinach with Vermont goat cheese, toasted pine nuts, red onions and sun-dried tomatoes in a black currant vinaigrette. The Old Vinings Inn, 3011 Places Mill Road. 770-438-2282.

Eno, meenie, minie moe
Which wine will it be? Eno — winner of CL’s 2001 Critics’ Pick for Best Wine Dinner and Best Wine List in Atlanta — gets Spanish eyes in October and offers Wines of Spain With Tapas Oct. 10 and 24. In addition to the over 300 wines they regularly offer, Spanish reds, whites and roses will be available for $6.50 a glass, and tapas for $3.50 a plate. 6-9 p.m. Peachtree and 5th streets. 404-685-3139.
