Uncork A Cure
The AIDS Research Consortium of Atlanta brings its Springtime in Paris celebration to SciTrek for its 11th annual Uncork A Cure fund raiser. More than 300 wines will be available for tasting. Try them all and you’ll be in a generous mood for the silent auction including hotel stays, original artwork, spa visits and more. Hors d’oeuvres provided by Einstein’s. Getting Chile at Agave
Agave hosts a Chilean wine dinner — aperitif to dessert --featuring Morande wines Tuesday, May 14. Two Sauvignon Blancs, two Merlots and a Cabernet Sauvignon will be appropriately paired with shrimp and sashimi tuna ceviche, New Mexico red chile tamales, stuffed and roasted chicken with an ancho chile glaze and homemade sopapillas with honey, cream and cinnamon. $50 per person (plus tax and tip). 7 p.m., 242 Boulevard. Sip some wine and loosen your rhymes. Dailey’s Restaurant and Bar hosts the Wine Brats’ third stop on the Vine-to-Verse Wine Tasting and Poetry Slam Contest Tour Wednesday, May 15.

Feed on appetizers created by Executive Chef Anne Moriarta and whet your word whistle with Gundlach Bundschu wines. (Competition rules loosely following Poetry Slam Inc.’s official guidelines.)
