Get tickets now for The Wine Festival at Villa Christina Sunday, Aug. 25. More than 200 wines, food from 40 of Atlanta’s top restaurants, chef demos, art exhibits, a silent auction, music and more will be on hand for oenophiles to enjoy. Tickets are $40 in advance, $45 at the door. Price includes all food and wine tastings, entertainment and demos. Parking ($3), merchandise and silent auction are additional. Rainwater hosts a Robert Mondavi wine dinner Friday, Aug. 23. Executive chef Todd Annis has created a special four-course menu to complement the wine selections. On the menu: citrus tuna tartare on a sesame salmon medallion topped with a blood orange granite, paired with a Johannesburg Riesling; seared Caribbean red snapper with battered smoked oysters, accompanied by Carneros Chardonnay and Mondavi Reserve Chardonnay; and more. $75 per person. ?SPANISH HARVEST
Harvest in Virginia-Highland hosts a four-course Spanish Wine Dinner Wednesday, Aug. 28. Spanish food, wine, Flamenco dancers and Spanish guitar help set the mood. Start at 6:30 p.m. with a tapas reception featuring sizzling shrimp with garlic, olives, serrano ham, salt cod, marinated anchovies and more accompanied by Sangria, Spanish sherry and Spanish beer. After that, move on to a dinner of pan-seared hake with almond sauce, paella with chorizo and shellfish, roast tenderloin of beef and caramel flan.
