A TASTING EXTRAVA”GRAND” — The Buckhead Ballroom of the Grand Hyatt Atlanta will hold an evening of wine and food Thurs., April 29, to benefit the Zimmerman-Horowitz Independent Living Program. This event, including dishes by executive chef Greg Zeringue and a silent auction, is from 7-10 p.m. Cost for the evening varies by age: $50 for those 35 and younger, $75 for everyone else. 3300 Peachtree Road. NEW EVENT AT NUVO — Nuvo Bistro will hold a wine tasting and dinner the first Wednesday of each month, the first of which will be May 12. This $59 event includes a talk by Washington wine producer Jerry Bookwalter, as well as hors d’oeuvres of assorted artisan cheeses. FESTIVAL AT THE VILLA — Villa Christina is hosting its third annual Food and Wine Festival Sun., May 23, from 1-6 p.m. Sample wines while enjoying jugglers, mimes, belly dancers, wine seminars, food tastings, chef demonstrations and art demonstrations.
