See & Do - Theater: A Tuna Christmas November 13 2009

Wed., Nov. 18

Christmas comes to Tuna, Texas, the third-smallest town in the state, in A TUNA CHRISTMAS at Theatre in the Square’s Alley Stage. Christmas marks the second of four mega-popular Tuna comedies (written by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard), in which two men play characters of multiple ages and genders. For this production, Theatre in the Square taps Steve Hudson and Bill Murphey to play more than 20 roles in various states of drag and drawl. Murphey did a stellar job with multiple characters at the Alley Stage’s Fully Committed a few years ago. Through Jan. 3. $25-$35. Tues.-Fri., 8 p.m.; Sat., 2:30 and 8 p.m.; Sun., 2:30 p.m. 11 Whitlock Ave., Marietta. 770-422-8369. www.theatreinthesquare.com.
