For its May production, True Colors Theatre Company steps back in time to 1930s Harlem with BLUES FOR AN ALABAMA SKY. As a tumultuous breakup wreaks havoc on torch singer Angel Allen, her dreams fade against the backdrop of the deepening Great Depression. The creativity of the Harlem Renaissance has stalled, and with few options, Angel sees hope for a better life with the new guy in town, a conservative man from Alabama. Adapted from the book by best-selling Atlanta author Pearl Cleage. Through May 31. $20-$30.
