See & Do - Theater: Christmas at Sweet Apple November 12 2008

Wed., Nov. 12

For a Christmas show rife with local history and folk music, Theatre in the Square revives last year’s hit production of CHRISTMAS AT SWEET APPLE, based on the writings of the late, beloved Atlanta Journal-Constitution columnist Celestine Sibley. Playwright Phillip DePoy penned a follow-up to his theatrical version of Sibley’s memoir, Turned Funny, by drawing on her bittersweet writings about the holidays in Atlanta and the Georgia mountains. Theatre in the Square brings back the full cast, including Erin Considine as Celestine, continuing Wed., NOV. 12. Through Dec. 30. $25-$35. Tues.-Fri., 8 p.m.; Sat., 2:30 and 8 p.m.; Sun., 2:30 p.m. Alley Stage, 11 Whitlock Ave., Marietta. 770-422-8369. www.theatreinthesquare.com.
