Divine Performing Arts, a New York-based troupe that includes multiple dance companies, orchestras, choreographers and backdrop artists, prides itself on being “the world’s premiere Chinese dance and music company.” Now in its fourth season, the CHINESE NEW YEAR SPECTACULAR returns Fri.-Sat., DEC. 19-20, to breathe new life into the sundry ancient and classical forms of Chinese musical dancing by using interpolated routines that focus on anything from the traditions of the last few centuries to the cultural margins of the extant. $39-$168.
