See & Do - Theater: Christmas at Sweet Apple November 14 2007

Wed., Nov. 21

Success inevitably demands sequels, so it’s no surprise that Theatre in the Square’s Phillip DePoy hit Turned Funny has spawned a spin-off. After adapting the beloved AJC columnist Celestine Sibley’s memoir, DePoy looked to two of her books, Christmas in Georgia and Especially at Christmas, for his follow-up CHRISTMAS AT SWEET APPLE, continuing Wed., NOV. 21, and through Dec. 30. Jay Freer directs a cast that includes Erin Considine in the role of Sibley, following Linda Stephens’ Suzi Bass Award-winning portrayal in Turned Funny. Through Dec. 30. $13-$35. Tues.-Fri., 8 p.m.; Sat., 2:30 and 8 p.m.; Sun., 2:30 p.m. Alley Stage, 11 Whitlock Ave., Marietta. 770-422-8369. www.theatreinthesquare.com.
