Redheaded comedian DARREN CARTER (right), in Atlanta Thurs.-Sun., JAN. 11-14, once joked that his white friends referred to him as Darren, his black friends called him Da-Ron and Mexicans knew him as Derano. He now goes by “Darren Carter the Party Starter,” which is probably the most appropriate title of all. His comedy is just as versatile as his name, landing him appearances on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” as well as Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend,” BET’s “Comic View” and opening slots for comedy heavyweights such as Chris Rock and Paul Rodriguez. $12-$15.
