Editor’s Note - CL: One day earlier

What day is it? Oh, yeah, Friday. Usually that would mean I had more time to write this note.

Not anymore. That’s because we’ve moved our print date up by a day, which means all our deadlines moved one work day earlier. Yikes. I better get on it.

I hope our new print schedule doesn’t inconvenience you and other readers. With one exception, we’ll have the same listings and articles in our print edition as we had before the schedule change. But because the print edition will hit the streets a day earlier – distributed Tuesday night and all day Wednesday – most of our event listings in print will now cover from Wednesday through Tuesday (instead of Thursday through Wednesday). That also means deadlines are moving up a day for our various listings categories to get into the paper.

The exception is Movie Times: The earlier print date won’t allow us to get schedules from theaters in time for the print edition. But we’ve found that more and more people are looking up show times on our website (atlanta.creativeloafing.com), and the online times are updated throughout the week, plus you can link to reviews and opportunities to win free tickets from our promotions department.

In fact, the website’s a good place to go for all events information, because it contains the city’s most comprehensive list of what to see and do in Atlanta.

Meanwhile, keep in mind that the print edition is arriving a day earlier. So be sure to rush on down to your rack or box and bribe your carrier a day earlier.
