Dish, Dirt and Drivel - Turning tables

Restaurant Talk: Shaun Doty, acclaimed chef and part owner of MidCity Cuisine, will be leaving the restaurant he opened just two years ago. Doty will become executive chef at the High Museum's Table 1280, set to open in September. NYC's Restaurant Associates, the group behind the anticipated Table 1280, also runs the eateries at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. No official word on who will replace Doty, but Dish hears it will be someone currently working at the Midtown hot spot.

Sex Talk: Atlanta-based writer Michael Alvear, best known for his syndicated sex column and his book Men Are Pigs but We Love Bacon, will soon make his debut on the small screen as co-host of "Sex Inspectors." The show, a hit in Britain, has been purchased by HBO, which will begin airing episodes this fall. The documentary-style sex therapy format has a twist: Alvear and his co-host, Tracey Cox, observe couples doing the deed ... live!

Celeb Talk: Dish hears that former Atlanta Hawk Mookie Blaylock spent quite some time at the Cheetah on the afternoon of July 8. Oddly, Blaylock's attention didn't focus exclusively on the ladies, but also on the bathroom attendant, who's a friend of the basketball star. Blaylock supposedly comes in regularly to say hello. Blaylock also was seen grazing on shrimp while chatting up a dancer. ... Tennis star Serena Williams was spotted dining with German hottie Boris Kodjoe (actor, model and former tennis pro) and two other men at Morton's Steakhouse on July 5. The group (apparently fans of the Atkins diet) chowed down on lobster and crabmeat cocktails, Caesar salad, chicken Christopher, filet mignon and rib eye steaks - and didn't consume any empty calories by drinking alcohol, not even a healthy glass of vino.
