Peepshow - On holiday

With city leaders

Last Monday, Mayor Shirley Franklin and police Chief Richard Pennington attended a community meeting at the Lindsay Street Baptist Church on North Avenue to discuss the police shooting of 88-year-old Kathryn Johnston. Why'd it take a week for the pair to meet with the public? Pennington claims he was unable to get a flight back to Atlanta from a small town up north called New York City. And Mayor Franklin? Perhaps she had difficulty locating an appropriately somber carnation.

On a less infuriating note, Peep Show went to the PetSmart in Smyrna to watch dogs bark their Christmas wish lists to Santa. On Sunday, we stopped by Inman Park's Trolley Barn for a holiday fundraiser benefitting WRFG-FM, the only radio station in Atlanta that plays Amy and Benny Goodman.
