Rekindle the season’s spirit
Sometimes it feels like we’ve all settled into some pretty well-worn and predictable grooves with the holiday season. It’s natural. We are, after all, creatures of habit. But the holidays mean a lot of things to a lot of people — for some, nothing at all, even.
So this year we wanted a Holiday Guide that presented different types of presents, a little something for everyone. That’s why we wanted to take the whole notion of “the gift” and set it aflame.
Here you will find not only the tried-and-true holiday options, but a look at what holiday means for people, be they true believers or skeptics, workaholics or anti-consumers.
And if you don’t think this is enough, check out the lead features in our Vibes, Flicks, Food & Drink and Arts sections for still more options, along with profiles of some of the more interesting people at work and play this holiday season. All of those events expand to larger lists online.
Happy holidays.
