TribalCon's 4-day conference of workshops on tribal dancing and music was in full swing Feb. 25-28. Hundreds filed into the bellydancing and music classes and vendors offered tribal wares such as jewelry and dance costumes.
Saturday night, the students all came together to put on a show using a variety of tribal dancing and music during the 6th annual TribalCon in Atlanta.
Last night WrestleMania broke the audience size record for any event ever held at the Georgia Dome with 71,617 in attendance, so for a lot of the event, I turned away from the stage to focus on the huge sea of people filling the stands. This kid was loving the action happening on the stage and his expressions were priceless.

The Capitol steps saw half the crowd it did during last year's Tax Day Tea Party rally. But it was still a significant amount of angry, sign-wielding people that converged on downtown Atlanta April 15. Neil Cavuto filmed his show live during the event and Rep. Byrd and Rep. From Ghana to Ukraine, countries around the world saw their cities devolve into pillow-swinging madness on April 3 as International Pillow Fight Day gripped their citizens. Here in Atlanta, several dozen fighters reveled in feathery fun at Freedom Park, while almost as many photographers captured the flight of the pillows.
"Mystical Arts of Tibet - Sacred Music, Sacred Dance" took place at Emory's Glenn Memorial Auditorium on March 27 night as the finale to the 10th annual Tibet Week. The musical group Dharma Burns played, and monks from the Drepung Loseling Monastery performed traditional Tibetan song and dance.
Laughing Skull Lounge took comedy in Atlanta to another level during the Comedy Festival it hosted March 3-6. Margaret Cho made surprise appearances in between the narrowing down of 60 comedians to seven finalists and one winner.
