In a year marked by national letdowns of such magnitude as mounting unemployment, rising foreclosures and the inexplicable popularity of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” it makes sense to recognize some of our local shortcomings, big and small. From an oft-ignored police chief to under-performing pizza, piss-poor public PR to a plague of football interceptions, Atlantans have tried – and failed – along with the best of them.
