Artists announced for public art project Elevate-Art Above Underground
66 days of temporary work scheduled for downtown starting in August
The list of artists has been released for “Elevate/Art Above Underground,” the 66-day long public art event sponsored by the city of Atlanta’s Office of Cultural Affairs.
From Aug. 26-Oct. 30, “Elevate” will present a series of temporary public art installations and exhibits ranging from murals to more conceptual work in downtown Atlanta along Upper Alabama Street and the surrounding areas.
OCA has confirmed 26 confirmed artists for “Elevate.” According to project coordinator Courtney Hammond, “There is a possibility for more to be on this list in the future.”
