"I have no idea where he was born."
— U.S. Rep. Nathan Deal, R-Ga., responding to an interviewer who asked if he thought Barack Obama was born in America and if he considered "birthers" to be crazy
"What I don't know is why the president can't produce a birth certificate. I think that's a legitimate question."
— Former House Majority Leader and current Senate candidate Roy Blunt, asked on July 29 about Obama's eligibility.
