’’THE DARK NIGHT RISES (PG-13) Christopher Nolan’s third and final installment of the Batman series, Bruce Wayne is met with a completely new set of challenges. Bane, a hell-bent villain wants to watch Gotham burn to the ground and has a personal vendetta against the exceptionally wealthy Gotham residents. With Anne Hathaway staring as Catwoman and Tom Hardy as Bane, this movie is promising to be one of the most watched films this summer.
PINK RIBBONS INC. (NR) This documentary takes a look at the big-business, profitting machines that are behind the iconic pink ribbon that has come to be a symbol of the breast cancer struggle. DELIVERANCE (R) John Boorman’s 1972 cult-classic Deliverance will be playing at the Fox Theatre tonight. The story follows a group of men on a canoe trip, but when the group becomes separated, two mountain men threaten the lives of two of the group members. The weekend trip takes a somber turn, as the suburban men realize they are far from real civilization. THE KARATE KID (PG) New Jersey transplant Daniel (Ralph Macchio) arrives in California and befriends a mysterious man named Mr. Miyagi.
