’’BROKEN CITY: (R) Mark Whalberg plays Billy, a broken down and let-go police officer turned into private detective. The high profile, Mayor of New York City (Russell Crowe) hires Billy to uncover who is sleeping with his straying wife. Thinking the task was simple enough, Billy willingly accepts, not knowing about the can of worms he is about to open up. As he uncovers something bigger than he ever expected, Billy realizes he has been set up, and the only way to get out is by taking down the most important man in New York City.
’’THE LAST STAND: (R) Arnold Schwarzenegger is a small town sheriff on the border of the States and Mexico, tasked with the job of keeping a highly-dangerous drug cartel lord from reaching the border and gaining immunity from prosecution. For some reason, Schwarzenegger’s police force consists of the ‘original Jackass’ Johnny Knoxville and the anything-but-menacing Luis Guzmán, yet Schwarzenegger somehow believes they have a chance of stopping the Cartel lord. This action movie probably won’t get Schwarzenegger another run at governor, but he proves to be a pretty good sheriff.
’’MAMA: (PG-13) When two girls parents are brutally murdered, everyone suspects they are also dead. It’s not until years later, the two sisters are found living in the primitive cabin deep in the woods. The girls are attempted to be re assimilated into normal life, but when unexplainable things start happening after the sisters arrival, their caretakers soon realize they were not alone out in the woods.
DULY NOTED:

JAWS: (PG) The movie that made America afraid of the ocean is back to take a bite of the big screen this weekend at Midtown Art Cinema. When a shark of epic proportions is terrorizing a small New England beach town during the height of the summer tourism season, a group of three men set out to make their shore safe again. The battle with ‘Jaws,’ a gigantic great white shark, is a standout favorite among many great Steven Spielberg films. Midtown Art Cinema, 931 Monroe Drive at midnight tonight ‘’

NO SOLICITING: (NR) This made-in-Atlanta indie film is about the comedic downfall of an average guy named Dan. Dan catches his long-time girlfriend cheating on him, then he loses his job, then he has to move in with his mom, and just when Dan’s life is about as bleak as it can get; he finds a new job. Sadly, his new job is selling stuff no one needs as a door to door salesman. Watch Dan try to put his life back together this weekend at the Plaza. Plaza Theatre, 1049 Ponce De Leon Ave ‘’

Charles begs the witch doctor to help him cast a spell on the woman he loves to send her into his arms. The witch doctor casts a spell on the young lady who dies, and turns her into a pale, lifeless zombie. Her husband, Neil, tracks her down after discovering her grave dug up.
