On Saturday, another Trayvon Martin rally was held in downtown Atlanta, this one brought thousands of people to the Richard B. Russell Federal Building on Spring Street. Vietnam veteran Freamon Dixson, waved an upside down American flag during the rally. “The country is in distress,” Dixson said.
Saturday’s rally capped a week of protests, rallies, and prayer vigils that took place throughout Atlanta last week, following the George Zimmerman verdict in which Zimmerman was found not guilty of murdering Trayvon Martin.
