Atlanta-based comedians, writers and other artists will break down some of the big events in science this year in all new original performances on Monday night at the Highland Inn Ballroom. ?Luke, you must go to the Dagobah system — er, I mean the Highland Inn Ballroom because this month, Scene Missing is paying tribute to Star Wars. Comedians, writers, musicians and more will be providing hilarious commentary on one of the most beloved movie franchises of all time on Wednesday at Scene Missing Presents: THE FORCE ATLANTANS. BB-8, Han Solo, Chewie, the Ewoks and all your favorite (or most hated) characters will be celebrated (or righteously destroyed). Miss this show, you should not. ======On Thursday night, head over to the Highland Inn Ballroom for another edition of Schlitz & Giggles. This bi-weekly show will feature a wonderful mix of local talent with jokes from Mia Jackson (“Last Comic Standing”), Paige Bowman, Craig Hoelzer, Paul Gallois and more. Grab some cheap Schlitz and enjoy the show. Doors open at 8 p.m. Show’s at 8:30 p.m. $10.

? >> Later that night, you can catch a special holiday themed show at the Laughing Skull Lounge: Bob Place Saves Christmas. Comedian Bob Place will host a festive mix of sketches, stand-up, and short films for this special one-off show at the Midtown comedy club. Place will be accompanied by two special guests including comedian Jarrod Harris, who will headline, plus a super special appearance by Santa! Show starts at 10:30 p.m. Tickets start at $18.

?This Friday is the last WonderComedy of the year. Host Andrew Michael is closing out another great year of shows with a handpicked line-up of great local comics, featuring Mark Serdula. Serdula has been a regular in the Atlanta comedy scene for a long time and just recently relocated to Birmingham, so catch him while you can. Michael and Serdula will be joined on the WonderRoot stage by the fantastic John-Michael Bond, Kevin Saucier, Will Copeland and more. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. Show’s at 9 p.m. $5 cash admission.
