? Before the holidays begin, blow off some steam at the best comedy show in Atlanta: Monday Night Comedy at Star Bar. Star Bar makes Mondays the best day of the week with this weekly free show in Little Five Points. Hosted by the one and only Rodney Leete, expect to see some of the best comics Atlanta has to offer as well as some wonderful traveling guests. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. The show kicks off at 9:30 p.m.

======On Tuesday night, it’s another edition of Comedy Night at Eventide Brewing. What started as a one-off show has turned into a fantastic monthly showcase that just gets better and better. Andrew Michael hosts a hand-picked lineup of local comics you can see while you sip on some delicious Eventide brews including Michael Rowland, Samm Severin, Austin Chardac and more. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 day of. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The show’s at 7 p.m.

======In case you can’t be spending Christmas Eve with family (or looking for an excuse to escape them), [http:// http://529atlanta.com/events/3906/Drunk-Sober-High|529] in EAV has got you covered with a special holiday edition of Drunk/Sober/High. Nine comedians, broken up into three teams will set out to see if being drunk as a skunk, high as a kite, or stone-cold sober makes you funnier. The night will also be capped off with a special, secret musical guest. Grab your favorite vice and join in on the fun. Doors open at 9 p.m. Show is free but donations are welcome.

? For one night only, you can catch comedy legend George Wallace at The Improv. Wallace is a Las Vegas mainstay in addition to performing at comedy clubs around the nation as well as military bases around the world. His TV credits is an seemingly never-ending list of great programs such as “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “The Tonight Show,” “The Arsenio Hall Show,” “Chelsea Lately,” and “Seinfeld” alongside numerous films. In 2013, Wallace was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013 at the Soul Train/Centric Comedy All-Star Awards; and won an American Comedy Award for “Best Stand-Up Comedian.” Wallace performs two shows Saturday night at 6:30 and 9 p.m. The comedian also announced on Twitter that he’ll be awarding $100 to the audience member with the best ugly holiday sweater. Hopefully it’s not too late to ask Santa for one.

? >> After the holidays, you can also catch a special post-Christmas Underwear Comedy Party show. Joe Pettis and UCP will put on a special Saturday edition of the nearly-nude showcase at the Village Theatre. Watch comics tell jokes in their undies for $10, or for free if you join in on the fun and attend in your finest undergarments. December is for the brave. Show starts at 11 p.m.

? >> Over the weekend, you’ll have four chances to catch Tone Bell headline the Laughing Skull. Born and raised in Atlanta, Bell won NBC’s Stand Up For Diversity program in 2011 and was named one of Comedy Central’s “Comics to Watch” in 2013. He most recently earned a Comedy Central “Half Hour” special which aired earlier this month, and has performed on “The Late Late Show,” and “Key and Peele.” Bell headlines four shows Saturday through Sunday.
