Clickable Advent Calendar, Dec. 17

This year’s non-denominational Clickable Advent Calendar offers a holiday-themed quote of the day, with the source — and maybe a surprise goodie — after the cut.

Dec. 17: “Look out, kids. There’s no hospital at the North Pole. Some of the elves are so inbred, they can’t survive a common cold.”

— The RiffTrax crew (Mike Nelson, Tim Corbett and Kevin Murphy) heckling the astonishingly awful holiday short film “A Visit to Santa” from the “RiffTrax Christmas Shorts-Stravaganza.” The program was simulcast live last night (Dec. 16) at theaters nationwide, but will be re-broadcast tonight and I strongly, strongly recommend it. “Mystery Science Theatre”-style riffing goes best with bizarre short films or Christmas movies, and this show combines the two.
