Cool Cinema at Midtown: Purple Rain, Puuurrrple Rain
Does a movie like Purple Rain need any sort of introduction? Prince’s film masterpiece from 1984 is something like a long music video about a young dude in spandex playing hot guitar licks and loving a woman named Apollonia. Also, he humps the stage. You don’t really need to understand it, because it’s just good.
Purple Rain is the perfect sort of movie for Cool Cinema, a rowdy drinks-and-movie party at Midtown Arts Cinema. Our own Chante LaGon had a truly great time at Cool Cinema’s screening of The Last Dragon back in March and we think this Friday’s party will be more of the same. Check out the details after the jump.
