Avondale is smoking some Art-B-Que this weekend

Over on the other side of the tracks from Decatur, the Avondale Estates neighborhood is hosting its third annual Art-B-Que this weekend. Part-artist-market and part-neighborhood-festival, the two day shin dig is hosting a huge schedule of artists working with everything from jewelry to photography and a line-up of local bands on two stages. The highlights include a number of Howard Finster devoted folk artists like Chris Hubbard and C.M. & Grace Laster

Gringo Star headlines the main stage on Saturday while Van Heineken (who bill themselves as "The Premiere Classic Van Halen Tribute!") finish up the day on Sunday.

As the name suggests, barbeque will be in no short supply. Fox Brothers, Smoker and the Bandit, Farm Burger, the brand-new Farmstead 303, and more will be on hand to serve up some smoky meats. Check out the full schedule at Art-B-Que.
