Gov. Nathan Deal on Friday revealed eight designs competing to become Georgia’s new license plate. And you can help decide which of these peach-centric proposals deserves to win! This is what democracy looks like, Mr. President!

I don’t know about you, but I’m kind of leaning toward the design where “In God We Trust” looks as if it’s actually printed on the plate, rather than just a sticker.

The state didn’t release the names of the designers behind the proposals, but we did manage to find what prizes the contest winner will receive. Via the Georgia Department of Revenue:

The winning artist will have their photograph taken with Governor Nathan Deal, Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle, and Revenue Commissioner Doug MacGinnitie. In addition, the winner will receive a commemorative license plate and a certificate of appreciation from the state of Georgia.

Eesh. Second prize is a set of steak knives, right?

UPDATE, 4:33 p.m.: Some atheists noticed the “In God We Trust” proposals. This will be fun.
