Serenbe Playhouse, which specializes in open-air productions in the Serenbe township (including last year’s excellent take on The Ugly Duckling), has announced the three plays of its 2012 “season of dreams:”

Alice in Wonderland (June 1-July 28 on the Forest Glen Stage). Brian Clowdus directs Skylar Nicholson’s world premiere adaptation of the Lewis Carroll classic, in the spirit of Commedia dell’Arte.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream (June 28-July 15 at the Open Air Function Room Stage at The Inn). Clowdus also directs William Shakespeare’s classic comedy, set amid woodland sprites, with a nod to the music and aesthetic of the 1950s. Featuring Erin Burnett, Jordan Craig, Laura Floyd, Brian Kurlander, Jessica Miesel, Caitlin Reeves, and Justin Walker.

Time Between Us (July 26-Aug. 18 at the Stables Courtyard Stage). Justin Anderson directs this regional premiere musical by Tess Barker and Brent Schrier that follows two friends (Brian Clowdus and Laura Floyd) across thirty years of life-altering choices.
