Sylvie Fortin out, Cinque Hicks in at Art Papers

The magazine will be seeking to fill both the executive director and editor-in-chief positions vacated by Fortin

Art Papers, the internationally-focused, locally-based arts magazine, announced today that longtime editor-in-chief and executive director Sylvie Fortin is leaving the publication. In her stead, former Creative Loafing arts critic Cinque Hicks will serve as interim editor-in-chief. The magazine will be seeking to fill both the executive director and editor-in-chief positions vacated by Fortin. ArtsATL suggests that the magazine may move to be more explicitly engaged with the Atlanta arts community, which perhaps differs from the editorial mission that Fortin lays out in the Art Relish interview above.
