Filming Updates:
- Barely Lethal (you read that right), starring Samuel L. Jackson and Jessica Alba, started filming in the metro area - specifically, Marietta High and then Covington. Here’s what their base camp looks like.
- The Trip to Bountiful, which continues to include more and more cool people, has been shooting around Macon.
- Mockingjay filmed downtown near Peachtree Center Avenue and in Griffin. Cast and crew are reportedly taking the holidays of, just as Catching Fire kicks into high promotional gear. It will move to Newnan in December.
- Fast & Furious 7 filmed in Stockbridge and, like, all over downtown: Piedmont Avenue, Wall Street, Decatur Street. Most of it is reportedly night shoots.
- Dumb & Dumber To was at the Gwinnett Performing Arts Center for more than week, and recently wrapped. Photos!
- VH1’s pilot Hindsight, about a grown woman who wakes up 15 years ago, filmed in the Marietta Square this week.

Sightings:
- A former boss of mine once shared a story about interviewing Michelle Rodriguez before she had quite become a thing. As I remember it, my old boss said Rodriguez spent a lot of the interview spinning a knife between them on the table. Anyway, she was in Midtown!
- Speaking of, Rodriguez’s costar Jason Statham was seen at the Tavern at Phipps.
- ICYMI, Jennifer Lawrence was at Netherworld.

Castings:
- NeNe Leakes is looking for “Curvy Girl(s)” to model her upcoming clothing line. The casting in on Nov. 13 from 4-7 p.m. at Bar One in Grant Park. Cynthia Bailey will also be there, continuing her late-series resurgence as the Best Real Housewife of Atlanta. Email casting at thebaileyagencyschooloffashion.com for more.
- Dumb and Dumber To is looking for youngish guys who are available to be fitted for tuxedos today. (It’s a prom scene.) Shooting is Nov. 21-31. More info here.

Deals:
- There’s a sneaky little rumor that Fast & Furious 8 will begin shooting as soon as F&F 7 wraps. The rumor has some logic to it - Universal is enamored with the franchise, whose appeal has risen meteorically in the last three years. Indeed, like The Walking Dead, Universal is pushing for the franchise to be filmed as quickly and efficiently as possible, which was one of the reasons longtime series director Justin Lin left. All of that say: maybe?
