Gov. Nathan Deal warns 75 people at a campaign stop in Dahlonega, Ga., an area expected to heavily support Republicans on Election Day, that swing voters could turn Georgia into a purple state. At the same event, he said Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jason Carter, grandson of former President Jimmy Carter, would use the Governor’s Mansion if elected as a “springboard for higher office.” (via the AJC)
